I am no expert on bangs, but I would absolutely try sideswept bangs parted on the side for starters. Very Paris. Maybe if you parted in the middle too, that may look nice. Evangeline Lilly maybe. PS I have a longer heart shaped face and I don't have bangs but I want them too.

i would start off with long side-sweep bangs at first. wait a few days, see how you feel and if you want, go a little shorter. bang trims are super cheap =)
