I know many people who took asylum in UK, Germany and some other European countries, in many European countries the were even not allowed to work but the earn more money as a normal worker.

Most of them search shelter from their regime which in their own words persecuting and hunting their lives, but as soon as the have the nationalities from UK, Germany or other European countries the visit regularly their countries against them the took asylum.
Now the no fear about their lives?

We try to be liberal, caring, and help people to have shelter from oppressive regimes. Some of them take advantage; lie even.

"The road to destruction is paved with good intentions".

Look at our welfare system - supposed to be a safety net, whereby the weakest and most desperate members of society are helped back on their feet. Do you think the people who founded our welfare system would ever have envisaged the abuse of the benefits system which we see today?

A similar story with the NHS. My grandparents, in the 1930s, couldn't afford a doctor's visit or medicine when their child was seriously ill. The NHS was set up to address that - now people can have plastic surgery etc., paid for by the taxpayer; the NHS scope has got too big, and spending has spiralled out of control.

The thing is that you can't trust people to be honest and incorruptible. Some will take advantage, and mess it up for everyone else.

Why does immigration scare so many people.Asylum seekers make up such a small number in our society but a lot of people have been fed nonsense through the media which blows things out of proportion and plants the seed of suspicion. As british citizens we can afford the luxury of movement that allows us the freedom to go pretty much anywhere. We also can chose to upsticks and settle in another country to better our quality of life if we wish. How would we then feel if we were told we could not visit our homeland and families. It is not normal to be forced to be detatched from our loved ones and maybe by gaining citizenship of a country allows the recipient the safety to return and see thier families.I know lots of people who for one reason or another cannot live in particular place as it is not safe to do so but can visit as they have the safety net of returning to a safe enviroment should the need arise. There will always be people who abuse systems as these systems are not foolproof but i know that if i had to seek asylum somewhere i would find a way to have contact with my nearest and dearest. Its human nature. There is a lot of misunderstanding with the general public about the issue of asylum and there are more accurate sources of information than the daily rag or News at Ten.We tend to focus on the negatives as the reality might just make us examine our own prejudices. Are'nt we lucky to have been born in a country that offers us human rights and safety.I think so.

The only country in the world with no immigration controls are the daft as brush a British. Many of the countries people are running away from ie pakistan are actually considered holiday destinations for people in britain. There is nothing wrong with immigration. What every country should have is a balnced immigration policy. There should be no automatic benefits for assylum seekers in any country.

And why shouldn`t they they `re not prisoners maybe the trouble where they came from has been resolved
do you people who waste your life worrying and whinging about all these foreign people who you either accuse of living of your tax or taking all your jobs(you can`t seem to make your minds up) do you really believe that if you got your way and had all these people thrown out (our expats would need to be deported back here in that case) that you would pay any less tax ,there would be more houses ,you would want to do the jobs they used to do .if you sat down and thought about it rationally you might realise the only thing different would be there would be no one to blame for the state of this country except ourselves.

if i was prime minister then it would be if they go back to their home country for ANY reason whether it be a holiday, a family members special birthday, a wedding, a funeral, anything they may NEVER return here and if they are going to be killed if they dont come back here then thats their problem not ours.
