I'm just wondering what the process is behind those edible photos on birthday cakes? Any homemade recipes for it? Thanks!

you can do this at home... buy a cheap printer ONLY USE THIS FOR THIS PURPOSE. At a cake decorating store you can buy edible inks as well as the rice paper to print on. A close friend of mine does it ALL the time.

they actually have a scanner that scans whatever picture you give to them, and it prints it onto this thin paper that disolves into your cake...even still though you can, if carefully, lift it off the cake. its kinda weird. like how does it not smear? its not icing.
