I would stay away from the typical eagle tattoo's. Maybe the airforce crest or get his rank (chevelles) unless he was an officer maybe try out google images!

thier is a few good ideas that can come to mind but the first thing i would do is look back on your father and his carrer in the air force talk to people he knew and served with and find thing out about him then.. While he was in service did he get awared with any metals badges ect if so that would be a nice thing to get done maybe.. Try going onto the air force site itself and look around for things that stand out to you like images you like relating to the air force ect.. Maybe a battle ship eagle thier main logo thier is all kinds of things you can do with this tattoo just try to find somthing that has alot of meaning to your father and not just some plain tattoo that has no meaning other then the air force itself would be my best guess..

i'm sure the air force has some kind of a "seal" or an insignia that is specifically air force related. they also probably have a motto and i think it would be a great idea for a tattoo. also you could incorporate something to do with your dad in the tattoo as well. for instance, my husband's dad was an army ranger medic and he is going to get a tattoo of the medic's cross in a sacred heart tattoo. i'm excited about it. i would suggest looking up air force stuff and not necessarily air force tattoo related things, you know? any good tattoo artist will be able to take pictures and descriptions and turn it into a great tattoo for you.

and secondly, please research tattoo artists in your area. make sure you go to someone who is competent and talented. ask to see their portfolios. good luck!!

Yeah mate,,go to your local library or look up all the tattooist web sites you can find on the net and scroll through their designs. Choose a couple that you like and design an original for yourself in memory of your dad.
