How old are you? It's very typical for teenagers to have low self esteem. At this age, you feel like you are competing with all the popular, attractive, smart, athletic kids, and you tend to put them up on a pedestal which makes you feel like a loser. But the truth is, that even those "popular" kids are having issues with low self esteem. When you look in the mirror, what you see is what others will see in you. People perceive you how you show yourself to them. Try smiling at yourself and seeing your very best qualities. Let them shine through. Every person is born unique, with talents and abilities that only they can fulfill in this life. You need to find what you are good at and what you enjoy doing, the things that bring you happiness. Smile at people and compliment them, and watch how it affects them. Try doing this with people that are just as shy or lonely or insecure as yourself. Make friends with this kind of individuals and you'll find how wonderfull and warm a relationship can be and grow to be if you take the time to get to know someone. Open up, and let yourself shine. Fly and soar to new levels . . . Good luck!

What you need to know is that everyone has low self esteem at some point in their life, even supermodels. Ask your closest friend what she/he likes the most about you and when you start feeling bad remind yourself of what they said. That has always worked for me.

Self Esteem Quotes
What lies behind us and what lies ahead of us are tiny matters compared to what lives within us. Whether you think you can or whether you think you can't - you're right. Self pity is our worst enemy and if we yield to it, we can never do anything wise in the world. Someone’s opinion of you does not have to become your reality. To establish true self-esteem we must concentrate on our successes and forget about the failures and the negatives in our lives. There is nothing noble about being superior to some other man. The true nobility is in being superior to your previous self. There's only one corner of the universe you can be certain of improving, and that's your own self

ps we need to be friends cuz i had/have this same problem.what you number?

You need to think less and do more. Get yourself busy, take classes and meet new people. Life is too short to waste it!!

Approach everything you do and everyone you encounter with confidence. With the attitude that you are capable and competent and worth knowing.

Find little things to do (baby steps, Bob) that you will succeed at. Think before you speak and keep it simple and friendly.

Just keep thinking this all the time: "I am the best in things I like to do". Full stop.

Try this for somedays. It has always worked.

I don't want to sound cliche', but...

Self-help books, and exercising, eating healthy, can all do wonders for self esteem.

look for your good qualities rather than your bad. If you look at this and still say, "I don't have any.." then you should talk to a therapist. everyone has good qualities. make the most of them
