like he moves around and hits everything EVERY time he dreams or sleeps or whatever. I know it's normal, but his movements are beyond violoent, is this some sort of problem and how can it be treated?? Please help. . .he's just so. . .annoying

sounds like he has got a hyper tension dude..... may be it's coz of the relationship too. better speak to him and let him know and get him prepared to meet a counsellor and then arrange it.

This does sound like a problem. Your mom's boyfriend should be able to find a sleep clinic that will diagnose his sleepwalking problem and make recommendations.
