IT WILL WORK! I'm living proof. My best friend and love is 45 and I'm 31. He is American and I'm Indian. Hopefully you've seen her picture(s) and you know how she looks besides knowing her as a person. What ultimately counts is, you both like each other. Hopefully she is a great person at heart and sees you for who you are just as you see her for who she is. GOOD LUCK! Hope things work out for you both. I don't know why, but I am so thrilled reading about what's happening in your life. :-)

To add to my answer after reading some of the postings by other people:
I have my own career and I live in my own country. My guy travels a lot and lives with me. I live a great life here in a metropolitan city and I am well traveled. He came to join me and I did not make the move to go live with him. Not every woman is a fortune hunter or a passport seeker. Of course there are those kind of desperate women too. I wish people wouldn't generalize and categorize all of us that way. By the way, I wonder why people say things like, "small town indian girls kinda have a broad(est) range of tolerance." Oh well! Hope all works out!

I know several couples who met online and are happily together. One couple is married and has five teenagers between them and have been together a while.

ANd, I know a guy who is divorced, makes a good living, who met a woman from another part of the world online. They kept having plans to meet up, which she would often cancel, often after he had already arrived at the meeting place, somewhere really far from where he lived. So, be cautious.....

I hope things work out for you. I t hink the last thing you need to worry about is your age....

Are you sure this isnt a hook up for a foreign passport? The people out there will do anything to get a foreign passport and to get out of the country for better prospects. Be very very careful. Oh yeah...I am sure she will marry you BUT after a year or so???????????? It happens all the time over there. I know I have lived there and seen what happens. What part of India is she from...you havent mentioned that!! Sorry to sound so cynical but I have seen this time and time again.

I know a couple who is very happy together after meeting online, so I know it's possible. It all depends on how honest the two of you were with each other. Good luck.

Yes, definitely possible. Happens quite a bit these days.
However, watch for ulterior motives. Sorry to say that, but that also happens with US men and foreign women.
Good luck.

Yeah, I think it's possible. Congrats on your upcoming meeting. It's normal to be nervous, but try not to be. Age is just a number if you've already hit it off and gotten pretty close. Best wishes to you and your lady friend:)

well, that's OK. Don't worry about the distance of age. Nothing is impossible, so internet love is possible. Hope you met a KIND girl.

Good luck!

you should really meet before you get too excited. it sounds like you've built a solid foundation. try not to get ahead of yourself, and wait until you see each other in less than controlled and/or flattering situations before going further.

if you haven't misrepresented yourself and she's been honest, then i think it's possible, but proceed with caution.

If it feels right for you and her then thats between you two. Does it really matter what we all think. Dont worry about what others feel..this is up to you and only you. I say go for it.

In a word: YES.

Be careful when you meet in person, but yes, it is possible. Trust your feelings, and be safe.

Good luck.
