I know what you mean, it's like when I stuck that fish hook through my eyelid---nobody told me it would hurt. Or when I pushed the phillips-head screw-driver up my nostril, same
thing---nobody told me it would hurt. But alas, the democrats are back in office; they'll surely initiate legislation to protect us from ourselves. And I certainly don't mind paying more taxes to help look-out for my well-being! You see, it wasn't a matter of it being illegal to punch the seals, the problem was no one told you. And, contrary to popular belief, ignorance of the law IS an excuse....

i guess we just felt you needed to learn the lesson on your own... sometimes we need to make mistakes for ourselves in order to grow! if you're ever unsure about whether something is okay to do or not, just ask yourself - what would stephen colbert do?
