I really like a nice cognac with my cigars. However, I have had grand marnier-The sweetness is a nice finish, but it does take away from the cigar. Lately I've been delving around in scotch and cigars and have been pleasantly surprised, especially with the lighter fruitier single malts. Balvenie Scotch 21 Year Portwood, Also I really love Auchentoshan Scotch Three Wood. Russia also makes some really nice brandy too. You can't really go wrong with a really nice brandy or cognac.

For the Montecristo maybe a small glass of Zaya rum.
The Cohibas maybe a mojito or a single malt scotch.
There is no Valdez cuban cigar.
The R&J Churchill a snifter of Cognac.

16 year Lagavulin single malt will be the 1st choice.
Makers Mark bourbon will be the second.
Whisky is by far the best compliment to a fine stogie.

Amigo, simple cachaca sugar cane rum.... Mix up a Batidas an sit back . Most people dont know wut that is so it is exotic. Your guests will be impressed. Look up Batidas to find a particular recipe
