He likes to talk about thought-provoking things, things i care about, things he cares about. My problem is that I don't know how to talk. Well I do, but I can't start a conversation.

Ummmm Hon - if you can't talk to him now, do you really think this relationship is going anywhere? Sorry, but if you have to force conversation with someone you love, there is something very wrong there! My b/f and I talk for hours, about nothing in particular. It just flows. He sounds like a very deep, intense person. If you really want to make this work, I suggest you read the paper everyday and mention some article to him and ask his opinion on it. That will start the ball rolling. Or talk about something at work, or his day, whatever. Good luck though!

Get comfortable with who you are and what you stand for. Do you even know yourself yet? If you did, you would probably know what to say.
Why don't you guys read the paper together over a cup of coffee or something? That will give you stuff to comment on.
Make sure you study up about what is going on before you open your mouth though.

a good way to start a conversation for me being a guy is the ultimate question....what are you thinking. Then go from there or if the moment grabs you speak from the heart that always works.

You obviusly don't feel comfortable around him because if you were comfortable around you would be able to say anything at any time i mean it doesn't even have to be a conversation, just like a random thing because that always helps.

He's not the one for you. Believe me, the right person never makes you feel awkward and you never have enough hours in the day to share thoughts and feelings.

Sure you can ... you ask how did his day go? what is his favorite color, food, flowers, movies.song, clothes, cars, trucks, beaches, and ect... how was work? What does he like to do? what your favorite things are or movies or music or ect... You will get the hang of after all this!

well, conversation should be the same as it is with your friends... except for the boy talk. natural & not forced. if you don't have anything to talk about, then you shouldn't be dating eachother.

He is not the right one for you dump him. Find a man that you want to share everything and doesn't make you feel like your ideas are stupid.
