Organic- grown completely naturally with no chemicals and NOT genetically modified..
Inorganic is the opposite...and they are genetically modified hence the large size and availability of certain fruits and veggies all year round and cheaper price. (easier to grow- and faster)
Although it hasn't been proven that inorganic foods are detrimental to your health, it is still unknown because it is a relatively new development and often with such things you don't know the effects until later into the future..
Some people [health nuts] believe we'll get illnesses and diseased from GM foods...
I would assume organic foods are better for your health only b/c anything completely natural runs less risk w/ health issues

Sorry, but in my opinion no one can provide this answer. The reason is that you want evidence for phenomena that cannot be measured using the instruments of science. Even a study that showed significant health differences between an atheist group versus a spiritual group, does not answer your question. Because, there may other factors related to "believing in something" that could account for the difference. So, you still don't know whether or not god or gods were related to the better health. I'm not a natural scientist, but in the social sciences we apply the scientific model, and it just is not capable to answer the existence of god or whether such an existence improves health. It does not answer the question, but I hope it helps your perspective. Dr. P

Organic foods, since they depend on a less abundant nutrient source (natural fertilizers) tend to grow slowly and the plant completes it's life cycle. So the content of nutrients can be better, because nutrients need biochemical steps to apear in the plant and this takes time.
You can easily replace this, though, bi ingesting a variety of non-organically grown vegetables, as opposed to always eating the same thing.
If you're loaded, go organic, i guess.
Some GM plants actually don't need pesticides, so don't think of it as inorganically grown foods are bad monsters that will eat your sister.

Scientific studies have demonstrated that organic produce contains higher levels of important nutrients such as vitamin C. For example, a recent study found that organic oranges had more than 2.5 times the amount of vitamin C per unit of volume compared to 'regular' oranges.
Studies indicate that 50% of Americans do not consume the RDA level of vitamin C (the RDA is a meager amount that many scientists suggest is way too low for optimum health). So, consumption of organic produce might easily remedy this problem.
Best wishes.

I agree with most of the preceding answers, but am skeptical of the report that organically grown oranges are significantly higher in vitamin C. There is not a significant nutritional differnce, and I tend to avoid "organic" foods because the others are cheaper.

A person's phychology has a definite impact on their ability to heal and ward off illness. Depressed people have a tougher time than happy people. Last summer, BBC ran a great article on how doctors are finding prayer aids in patient recovery. The person's religion seemed to play no particular role. It is thought that this "faith" that people have releases beneficial endorphins.

Organic foods are not treated with pesticides and other chemicals.
Basically they are supposed to be grown naturally and unaltered genetically. The theory is that they are better for you because you don't digest any pesticides or other chemicals.

organic means there is no chemicals sprayed on the veggis to keep the bugs away, and the meat was not injected with growth hormones. if that is put on your food it goes in to the body. and chemicals are never good for the body
