Honestly, Most of us non believers have a sense of spirituality and inner peace without all the drama and fear.
We wonder why you all believe the unbelievable things you do.
You all seem a little (a lot actually) brainwashed and unrealistic....sorry but you asked.

Because Christianity has a really nasty history of forcing people to believe what they believe. thus what you are thinking and doing is of great intrest and possibly concern to a Pagan like myself.
and when people try to pass laws that put their paticular religious religious beliefs into a law that everyone must follow. i take great intrest in the law and the people behind it. for instance the gay marriage bans that have been sweeping the nation. My religion allows me as a legaly ordained minister to preform marriages for Gay couples. but some would infringe on my legal rights as an ordained minister. not to mention the rights fo the couple that just wants to have their love blessed. and for it to be right in the eyes of their gods.

I, for one, am not concerned with what other people believe until they start doing things like telling me that I am a bad person and that I am going to burn in hell. It also annoys me when they try to get their belief systems turned into law.
So, when things like that happen, I confess that I get defensive and even go on the attack. But if they would not care about what I think then I would gladly return the favor.

Christians asking questions could possibly be because they are being somewhat rhetorical ~to have people ponder them.
To Alan: People get caught up in parts of speech. Maybe they meant that you were behaving badly not that you are bad. And meant to say that their belief says that you could go to Hell, not that you are going to Hell. <- Because God is the only judge of that. We don't know how long someone will live their life. They could quite possibly turn in their last hour and be saved. If you were doing something mean to them, it could of just been a moment of high emotion / defensiveness on their part. They stumbled by not letting God fill them with peace before responding. ~That way they could've responed in a loving & tactful way. If they were talking to you about certain things that didn't have to do with you doing something to them, they could've been saying it bcuz they care about you & want your soul to prosper. Love & Peace to You.
To CH: brainwashed? I prefer to say guided by His Spirit. How do you explain people having the same convictions, same truths about God when they didn't go to the same church, maybe some went to no church, & didn't have the same teacher beside Jesus Christ their Teacher. That's the beauty of the Bible. Many people can read the Bible & not interpret it the same. Only those with the Spirit share the Truth. &/or those ALLOWING the Spirit to govern them in the Truth.
Peace & Love to You.

Because they're threatened by it. Christianity teaches certain moral things that many of us would rather not hear.
It makes some people VERY uncomfortable to hear moral teachings that don't jive with their lifestyle.
For many of these folks, it's not enough to just say "no thanks" and go do their thing. They have to discredit and defame Christianity, in order to feel better about the things they do that conflict with Christianity.
That's what is usually at play when you hear people complain about Christians being "intolerant" ... or when you hear things about Christianity causing all sorts of wars (it hasn't, by and large) ... or when you hear people say things like "why do you Christians care about gay marriage when there are more important things, like world hunger?'
They don't care about world hunger, and they don't care about the causes of the world's wars. Bringing these things up is just a deflection tactic -- or worse, something with which to throw rocks at a religion that teaches things they don't want to hear.

I admit it gets annoying when non-christians want to know ALL THE TIME why I believe the way I do, but I also know, that I would rather answer those questions and lead them to our God, than to never have been asked at all. Also, that's why we're here. We are doing God's work, leading them to Him.

Because us Christians murder whoever refuses to believe in God by tying them to stakes and burning them every chance we get. We have been doing it for 2,000 years and this century only looks a bit slower because we now have chemical weapons and other weapons of mass destruction. It is still burning with chemicals and napalm, also the competing faiths like Islam have been getting a bit uppity lately and we need to reduce them to stone age desert dwellers again before we can return to our favorite hobby of torturing heretics to death.

Well ultimately its their right. If they want to live by watching, judging and worrying about the actions of others, they can. I never said it was not childish.
You worry about your sidewalk, eventually they will worry about theirs. If we all did that I think it would be a better place in here.
Dont fall for the kids in here just trying to razz you brother.

EXCELLENT QUESTION!!!
It's certainly understandable why we as christians are concerned about them and want them to find eternal life - but why would they want us to join them in their eternal death? I guess only they could answer that. Although I feel that they are not satistfied with their beliefs and attack ours out of jealousy.
