Get a lawyer!!! Most states have legal services for low income families...so if you can't afford one then look in your local yellow pages for the closest legal aid office....if you have complied with everything and hopefully are no longer with the father...you should be able to get them back...the longer you wait to get an attorney the harder it will be for you to get them back.

When CPS takes away your children, it is very hard to get them back....Even if you comply with all the court orders, it doesn't mean you will get them back.....Certain things are not clear, did you have custody at the time they took them away? In Texas it takes 12 months and the case must be resolved, and a permanent placement will be set, either with the parents or foster care, or adopation.....I am sorry about your situation, but in order to get the children back, you must stay drug free for, period...And demonstrate that will are going to provide a safe and abuse free environment.....Best of luck....

I would keep fighting no matter how long it took...Keep calling them, they have so many people to do, make sure your file is on top of the pile....I would keep after them...
