Siteseeing: Grand palace, Chao Phrya River tour, Floating markets, Lumpini Park.
Nightlife: RCA road, Ratchada Soi 4 for clubbing, Nana, Patpong & Soi Cowboy (for the naughty life).
Restaurants: Langsuan area.
Shopping: Chatuchak weekend market, Suan Lum Night plaza for markets. Siam Paragon , Central World for mall shopping.
It's a pretty boring city during the day. You can see it all in a few days.

Shopping at MBK (Mah Boon Krong), Patunam (wholesale market). Chatuchak Weekend Market not to be missed. Suan Lum Night Bazaar, food court and entertainment here too.
Check out RCA and Ratchada Soi 4 for pubs/clubs. Recommends Coliseum and Tawan Deang for dining/entertainment. Nice clubs are CM2 (Novotel Siam Square), Ministry of Sound, Q Bar and Bed Supper Club (last 2, pick up place for many foreigners, I don't quite like them).
Enjoy! :-)

For shopping, add Pantip Plaza for DVDs, CDs, and PC accessories.http://www.bangkokbob.net/pantip.htm
If you visit Chatchak Weekend Market, drop by Central Plaza Shopping Mall Lad Prao. It is a local shopping center where Thais go for shopping, very few tourists can be found.

Seriously consider a side trip to Phuket. It's a cheap flight if bought in Thailand, and would give you some Beach Party time as well. I've been to BKK twice and I would say no more than three days there TOPS.
