I Would Like To Know What The Bad And Good Things Are About Getting Your Tongue Pierced.

i freakin LOVE my tongue piercing...

as long as you keep it clean with mouthwash while its healing there arent really any bad things about it. you can switch out to plastic tongue rings (i prefer ones from clair's or the icing b/c theyre cheep and amazing) and not worry about damaging your teeth.

besides, youre only young once, why not pierce your tongue? i mean its not permanent like a tattoo and its just kind of fun to have something in your mouth to play with (not in a sexual way, just b/c) plus, guys love it =) (not in a perverted way! im talking about kissing)

ive had mine for almost 3 years, i say DOOO IT!


ps...it shouldnt be $60, thats just overpriced, mine was $25 plus i got to pick out amazing jewelry included in the price, there is no loss of taste sensation, and if you go to a credited piercer and not just let some friend of yours do it you really have nothing to worry about...the only scares come to ppl who try to do things like that themselves and dont take care of it.

I had mine pierced a few years ago,(cost $60) and I let it close up after I bit down into my lunch and broke my tooth all the way down into the nerve. Had to get a root canal and a crown, no dental insurance (cost $1700,00) also on the negative side, I would have to say that a tongue ring hindered not enhanced Felaccio. The positive thing was.... Hum.....lets see a I chipped some of the interior tooth enamel to both top and bottom teeth, oh no that's a negative, hum...I got it out of my system that was good.

1. Infections to your tougue
2. A botched piercing that reduces your taste sensation
3. Tongue necrosis where the tongue just dies and they have to cut it off - totally
4. Hemorrhage
5. Can't eat solids for a long, long time
6. It can get pulled out or chewed on and that can result in injury to your tongue

P.S. I've seen all of this happen during my emergency room duties so I would seriously suggest you skip this.
