everyone else thanked god but him getting an award for christian music i thought it was weird.

I was wondering the same thing! I think he felt ashamed of seeing himself winning the award for a Gospel song where it was revealed in Ebony magazine that his marriage was almost over because of his addiction to porn. I think he felt if he thanked God for his award, he would be looked at as being hypocritical. He really needs to remember that we are not perfect and the verse that says" he who without sin, cast the first stone". At least he admitted his sin and asked God and his wife to forgive him.

Maybe he did. Just because he didn't let everyone in on it doesn't mean he did not thank God.

Because it would have been politically incorrect to. He was thinking of the welfare of the people and not provoking some fanatic into a religious fury. In this day and age, wise man.
