Alright, so I'm sure you all pretty much have the classic program "paint" already installed on your computer? I mean it usally comes with it. You go to start - then to accesories - then to paint! Well,, for some odd ball reason, my computer didn't come with it. I REALLY need it for biology class. So it would be GREAT if someone could tell me how to download it for FREE! thanks

PS: I have tried to look in add/remove programs many times, it's not there! I even tried on clicking run, and then typying in "mspaint". I also searched my computer through search. It's abosolutely not there.

If you have a Microsoft operating system-- "windows"-- then paint is on the installation CD. Just go to control panel and select "add/remove programs" and have the installation CD in the drive.

How do I install / uninstall mspaint?

Answer:

Below are steps on how you can install or uninstall mspaint.

Click Start / Settings / Control Panel
Double-click Add Remove Programs
Click the Windows Setup Tab
Double-click the Accessories icon and
Check or uncheck paint depending upon if you want to install / uninstall mspaint
When prompted for a diskette, insert your Windows CD or try pointing to "C:\windows\options\cabs" (depending on how Windows was installed on your computer this directory may not exist). If this directory does not exist on your hard disk drive you will need your CD.

Notice: Computer Hope cannot and will not supply any user with mspaint via download or e-mail. If you have a legal copy of Windows 95 and have lost your CD, it is recommended you contact the manufacturer of your computer or Microsoft for a new CD.

It could be that paint is just not appearing in Pograms list .
Try this goto START -> RUN -> type mspaint and click ok.. Paint sould come up.. If this does not work then
goto START--> CONTROL PANEL -> ADD OR REMOVE PROGRAMS--> goto Windows components tab---> highlight ACCESSORIES AND UTILITES clikc on DETAILS.. then Highlight ACCEORIES click Details... place a check mark next to MSPAINT click OK .. OK .. OK..

Hope this works for you
Cheers:)

Go to the control panel, add or remove programs, add/remove windows components, and check to see if it's selected in there. It's pretty difficult to delete it and all versions of Windows have it.
