Do you have any malicious neighbors? Can you take a water sample somewhere to be tested?

It sounds like your dog is an outdoor dog. If your dog is outside and barks a lot, (or even if it doesn't) you could have someone in the neighborhood who hates dogs and is poisoning them. Especially since you describe having lost three dogs and noticing the water looked weird. You could get the water tested if you wanted to see if that was a factor. There are sick people that poison dogs with all kinds of different things. Call your area SPCA and find out where you can obtain reports of poisoning in your area. It might be something happening to other dogs in the neighborhood as well.

I have a couple of questions for you. Do your dogs spend all their time outdoors? Also do they bark a lot and have you had any complaints from neighbors about the dogs barking too much? If so you might have a nasty rotten neighbor who could have poisoned your dog to stop it from barking. I hope not but some people will do awful things because they are annoyed by stuff like dogs barking too much. If you have had complaints from your neighbors maybe you could find a way to keep your dogs in the house during the day when you aren't home so they will be safer.

It sounds like someone might be poisoning your dogs! Was his water where someone could get to it? Are there any chemicals that could be dripping into the bowl?

Even if the answer is no to that, he may have drooled into his water bowl, revealing the poison. If you can, take some of the whitish water and the dog's body to the vet and ask them to do a necropsy (like an autopsy, just on an animal). Maybe that will reveal what is happening.

If you have any other pets, I wouldn't let them outside or hardly out of your sight for a while.

I'm sorry you lost your pet.

Don't empty the water dish!
You can get a sample of the water and get it tested. Someone has probably been putting poison in your dogs food/water.
You can also get an autopsy on the body of your dog to see exactly what killed him.
I am very sorry for the loss of your dogs and I hope it doesn't happen again.

I agree. It does sound like there is a good chance your dogs are being poisoned somehow. Get the water checked and look into at bare minimum some blood work on your poor baby. I am so sorry for your loss!

I'd have that water checked for poisen. That's what it sounds like to me. Report it to the police, take in the water. Who do you know that might be doing this? If you find you press charges to the fullest. There are laws against this kind of horrible crime. Don't let them get away with it. If you threw out the water already and the bowl isn't washed take that in and look around your property to see if there is any signs of vomit or footprints or any other signs to take in to the police. If they don't take action or your not satisfied with the out come, go to the Humaine Society. You know what you should contact them anyway. Go online if you need to www.hsus.org put up flyers to warn you neighbors. Mostly the next puppy you get , don't let him or her out of your sight!

I am guessing that your dogs have been kept outside and that someone is poisoning them. If you still have the water, check into having it analyzed for poisons. You may be able to take it to a water analyzation company that tests wells.

Hope this does not happen to one of your dogs again.
