A few of the passengers prayed before boeding the plane. Another passenger saw it and complained to the gate attendant. The passengers were refused boarding privaleges. What do you think about that.
I personally think that is going way to far. If that was me I guarentee a major lawsuit would have been filed within the hour for discrimination.

Yes were Muslams, and they nealed down for their evening prayer. They have every right to pray whenever and wherever they choose.
The funny thing is they were on their way home from a seminar on RELIGOUS TOLLERANCE.

Personally I think it's just another prime example of how this country is going down the proverbial toilet. To flip out to the point that you wouldn't allow someone on a plane because they prayed?? Give me a flipping break!!! That is definitely one airline worker who is going to be swiftly out of a job. I joined the military to defend the things and ideas that make our country what it is...among those things and ideas is freedom of religion, and that freedom also includes the right to practice your religion as you see fit.

Depends on the country, if it happend here the TSA has been having problems and have been training to be more sensitive. They have a difficult job the 2 praying may have been mistaken for terrorist getting ready to do a dirty deed but. A supervisor should have interveened questioned them and if they were just praying to get to their destenation safely they should have let them board or if the flight left without them made accomadations for them on another flight and lodging if the flight wasn't avaialnle until the next day. But juist takikng the words aof another passenger may have been stero typing. then yes I agree a law suit is in order for all involved including the accuser. If it was on video tape and still fouind to be no wrong doing thats the least the Airport should have done. Believe me the TSA and other security agencies probably have a big file of suspects and can recongnise them as they enter an airport or should be pretty close to that technology. Remember 1984 big brother is watching you!

You have written a different version of the news story that I read,
I read that they were on the plane and that three of them stood up and started their prayers. This is when passengers became alarmed and notified the stewards.
Personally, if the version I have read is correct, no one has any rights inside an aircraft anymore. No one. If the Imams were not willing to submit their rights just as we must, then they should take another means of transportation just as the rest of us must do if we do not like the new rules and regulations that are in place on aircraft.
Try for one time to pray out loud to God on a plane and see just how fast you are shut down. There is no tolerence for anything on aircraft anymore. Get a bit loud and refuse to quiet down for what ever reason and you are taken off the plane or arrested upon landing of the plane.
This is our new america , and everyone needs to get used to it. I much prefer to drive and will take a train over an aircraft now a days.

Ridiculous. I wouldn't go to the USSR in 1982 waving an American flag and I wouldn't pray in an airport, board a plane with a bunch of other adult male muslims, sit in different parts of the plane and expect to NOT raise any red flags. Life isn't fair. I am a huge supporter of tolerance and I have argued about separating muslims from terrorists. Yet still, you have to be smart; at least if you were going to pray you could alert the airline staff that you didn't want to raise any flags and you mean well. You have to be mindful, people are afraid and that's not going away any time soon.

Some people just can't accept different people for who they are. I would be highly upset if I was not allowed to board a plane for praying, and I am likely to be praying before a trip. That's why there are so many wars.

Only heard a teaser on the news, but apparently these were 6 Imams that were praying. I would assume that's where the complaint came from - the fact that they were Muslim.
I care very little for the ACLU, but you can bet they've already jumped all over this one.

It's not racism or discrimination...it's just come down to utter FEAR...
People are becoming more and more nervous about other peoples behavior so they are complaining and being heard.
It is just the way of the world.....no right minded person wants to die...let alone be blown up by some religious nutter.

I think you should get all of the story before you ask questions about it. The report I heard was that they were also "overheard making anti-American statements, and after they boarded the plane they paired off into unassigned seats. It wasn't the praying that made the airlines suspicious!!

I think that it depends on the prayer...if it was Christians, then I wouldn be so worried. If there were some Muslims praying...I would be nervous. I know that sounds crappy, but I am just being honest. I think that we need to cut the Airline a break. They are just trying to stop another 9/11 and they are doing their jobs. People need to quit being so damn touchy and PC, because that kind of crap is going to get us hit again. If they were making a scene praying, that is really putting security in the position to kick them off. I think that they should be reasonable and realized that this might have posed a problem, so they should have prayed to themselves.

I think it is very sad. Muslim people as a rule are very nice and caring people. I know there is a lot going on now but there are other things also..I mean all priests are not to be blamed for all the abuse caused by pedophile child abusing priests.. All alcoholics are not to be blamed for all drunk driving deaths...Sad that people are put into these stereotyping catagories..Sad but it is life I guess. My point is all muslims are not terrorists. I feel sad for these people from the plane...
