Yes.

In a litter one of our males sired, the female had three pups. Two weighed right at the average 1-1/4 pounds. The third pup was a tiny 3/4 of a pound. The female had mated with the dog multiple times over the course of a week. The tiny pup, after several months, started to catch up with her bigger sister. By the time the two girls (the owner of the mama kept both female pups) reached a year of age, they were identical in size.

It was explained by our vet that the eggs of the female aren't always released at the same time. Sometimes a few come out after the first batch are released. The repeated breedings we did with our dogs caught a late egg, resulting in the third pup, who was just about a week behind in development than the first two.

This scattered releasing of eggs is another reason that female dogs can become impregnated by multiple males in one heat cycle. Even if the eggs are released simultaneously, if the female ties with more than one male in one day, both/all three/whatever count, males can fertilize different eggs, resulting in a really strange looking litter!

I don't understand? Are you asking if a bi.tch is inseminated once, then can she be inseminated again at a later time causing different ages of the puppies? If you are asking that, then the answer is yes. Which is why you need to be careful to only breed your bi.tch within a few day window. Otherwise you will end up with premature, or too large of puppies. The bitches body holds the semen for 2-3 days before the eggs are let down to be inseminated which is why you can have multiple fathers of the same litter of puppies.

yes...I would guess. I have heard that a dog can get pregnant by more than one dog in a heat cycle.

A female could be bred by more than one male in a cycle, and have a pup by each father. One of the oddities of the animal world, it also happens with cats.

However, if you want to be a responsible breeder, it's best to limit the female's contact to only a single male in order to track the bloodline of the pups.

the female can't get pregnant more than once at a time. but each individual heat cycle a dog can get pregnant by the same male.

Like a human, once a dog is pregnant, that's it. You can't get pregnant again if you are already pregnant.
