I'm 17 and in love with my best friend's younger brother. He's 14 and 2 years and 10 months younger. I've known him for 13 years! And he's told me he fancies me - infact when he was 12 he told me he loved me. I can't help loving him now. He is mature and looks as old as me. Do you think I'm wrong about this?
Also, now we just kiss when we're alone, is he ashamed of me?

Whilst you may not necessarily be able to help your feelings, the fact is that you are too old for him (are you British? is the legal age 16 over there? I can't remember). Regardless of how old he looks, legally you should not really be with him. If you really love each other, you will be willing to wait until it's legally okay.
He might not be ashamed of you but frightened of the fact that he may get harrassed for the age difference between you. I do feel for you, it's an unfortunate situation to be in. Good Luck!

I'm sorry but from experance in the same type of situation, i dated the guy that was almost 3 years younger than i was, im the same age as you. When people are young they dont know what love is, and they think they are. Well, just because he says he doesnt doesnt mean he will forever.
One problem is that the age difference is way off, he is probably goin to be going to high school or in high school, freshman, and you a senior or going to college. The manallity of a guy at that age isnt to have a real relationship. It may sound that way but in the end he is 14.
Here is something to think about when you were 14, how did the guys treat their girls?
I'm not putting down wat is happening but just think things throught before something happens. Just do wat feels right.

Maybe he is worried about you, if anyone you know finds out that your kissing a guy younger than you. I kissed my mates older sister and we got serious a few times and things didn't go any further like boyfriend and girlfriend, she was really keen but I wasn't. I am not sure if this is the case for you, but I have first hand experience as I was the younger guy and in a similar situation to yours. Best of Luck.

Dear Child There is nothing wrong with loving this young man! You are 27 and he is 24. Yo are 35 and he is 32,get the idea? I maried a girl my sister went to school with 3 yrs ahead of me and then found out she is 4 yrs older than me. This was 20 yrs ago and I love her more today then I did then (Besides it is a beamer loving a girl who loves you and she is 2-4 yrs older

The guy is too young, you are not wrong but he may be thinking through his hormones. Take it slowly you both need to grow older and more mature this will give you better understanding.

its a little weird that he is younger than you, but think about it... when you turn 18 you could get in a lot of trouble for that. just remember that this will fade like all crushes do
