my female cat ginger was raped by sammy. Ginger wants to press charges, what rights does she have?

Well, female cats never seem to like it when they are being "raped," but she was probably enjoying it. You probably made her feel ashamed by using the word rape and so she played along and said she wants to press charges. Give Sammy a break!!! The male species wants one thing more than any other! Can you guess what it is? It is to "take" a fighting female. Let's just hope Ginger doesn't get pregnant, then you will really have a problem on your hands! Then you have to deal with custody battles and parenting issues, not to mention even more animals running around!

Well as far as I am concerned your the one that should be charged for letting Sammy near Ginger. Seriously, if your kitties are not fixed you really need to very soon or you'll be having kittens. Any pet owner should be responsible and love their little ones enough to have them spayed or neutered. For health reasons is one, and if they happen to get out , they cannot add to the over population of unwanted poor little ones. If eveyone would do their part sure would help .

Is she over 18? If not then the law considers what Sammy did as rape. I'm very sorry to say, but Sammy is looking to jail time. Perhaps while in there he will get a taste of his own medicine. When convicted he will be labeled a sex offender the rest of 9 lives and will never lead a decent life again. Much condolences to you and your cat.

Reddish 'liquid' from her means she's got a severe urinary tract infection that's causing bleeding in the bladder lining. It's serious and cats can't wait with this, they get permanent loss of kidney function. Your cat needs antibiotics fast, this qualifies as an emergency vet trip. Waiting means the cat's bladder and kidney function continue to decline. We've gone through it with two cats. It's serious. This is not a side issue of breeding between male and female cat.

was sammy mentally ill at the time??
you should first get some councilling for ginger.
then, seeing as ginger has just gone through such a hard time, you should deffinitely do as she asks and try to press charges.
just watch that ginger doesn't become depressed.
check her wrists regularly to ensure she's not slitting.

Your best bet would be to go to your county mental health facility and tell the intake people all about it. They routinely deal with these sorts of stressors..
