It has and creates war all over the world. I have many religious friends specially i have many christian friends. But what often amazes me is howe sure they are on things. And pity me that dont belive in there God. For me God is a great power i see God in everything that is good. I see God in friends and family in the beuty of the nature.I can't belive that in 2006 some people belive the earth is just a few thousands year. That Noah had 2 of every animal on a boat. (what a size that boat most had) And the bible many many chapters where left out. Who did that God or humans. In the beging christianity was split in many beliefs who decided what was right God or humans. If God want me to go to hell just because i like a drink ,sex before marriage, dont belive in the bible or asking questions if he exist well down i go. My God likes that people do the best they can and not hurt eachother

Many World Governments utilize religion to control or opiate their people. For instance a country like Iran where government shares equal power with one religion. If a someone has a problem there are no social services from government. Just pray five times a day and you'll get a reward after you're dead. In well to do countries religion is also used to pacify the masses especially the less fortunates. That's why if you go to a poor neighborhood you'll see ten times the number of houses of worship as compared to a wealthy area.

Speaking of Noah, God destroyed the earth because of people who feel about Him just the same way you do. Yes, he did have 2 of every animal in the ark, save the dinosaurs and that's why they are extinct today. We don't know how many chapters are left out of the Bible. It's irrelevant. If we follow what we DO know is in there we have a great life here on earth and eternal life after our days on earth are over. The things you like to do are called sin.
