I do not think there will be a draft, but as far as who is exempt, we would never know until they actually implemented a draft. I am sure the rules would not be the same.

There will not be a draft any time soon.. But those that are exempt are..

Those with reasonably good reasons are..

Not a male, that might change. But of course you can't change your gender and even if you did, you will always be a female or male on the inside.

Not a citizen of the United States or a full time resident(green card), if they aren't a citizen its understandable, but if they want to fight for the US... That's what I call patriotic, doing a hard duty volunteering...

Medical Problems making it a problem for you to fight or work in certain conditions (Height, Woods, desert.. etc)..

Conscientious Objector, not right for your belief to kill or feel like you might have problem doing your duty due to killing..

Homosexuality, this is a military law that you can't expose homosexuality in the military, publicly... Like you cant make out on the base like that... This can also be a bull **** excuse if your not a homosexual..

Your the only one that carries your family name, like the last male in the family beside your dad... Understandable, I always wanted kids...

Bullshit Excuses

My country never done anything for me..

I'm not gay but I check the box anyways

etc.. Think of much more unpatriotic reasons why...

The thing about using a draft is it outrages the (American) people and causes them to become politically active and pressures the leaders to end the war sooner.

There is no US draft, unless you are sitting by an open window.

Bush Sr. - "Read my lips.. no new taxes!"
And he raised taxes afterwards.

Bush Jr. "There is no draft" -during the presidential debates with Kerry.

Now that Junior has no elections to worry about, he may follow suit.. who knows.

Get yourself disabled or come to Canada haha.
