My best friend and her husband have been married for 6 years. They have one son who is 1 1/2 and are expecting another baby in about 2 months. They also had a daughter who passed away when she was only 3. Before they got married, her husband(We'll call him Brian) had been divorced for a year from a woman he also has a son with who is now 11. Although he left her all his money so that he could start completely over with my best friend, his former friends who are mutually friends with his ex-wife insist that he leave my best friend and their growing family, come back to where he used to live, and try to make things right with his ex. I think this is INSANE!! I keep trying to give my friend advice but she just keeps stressing about the guys(not her husband who is trying to convince her that hes not going anywhere), which is NOT healthy for her or the baby. What should I tell her?

sounds like this couple should tell all friends to mind their business.. Her husband should knows what he wants without anyone telling him if he is a real man.

I think that everybody, including you, should stay out of it. The couple should talk this over together. By the way maybe the 11 year olds mama doesn't want anything to do with him. Maybe all three past, present, and husband should sit down and talk this out. It's not only unhealthy for the expectant mom, but what about the 11 year old, and the 1 and 1/2 year old???
Has anyone thought of the children??????

Yea it sounds pretty insane not to mention i know how hard its got to be for the prego mom. But if hubby says he isnt going anywhere she needs to take it easy and understand that hubby wont be going anywhere at a time like this, and tell her not to worry. Gosh i hope everything works out.
and tell her congratulations

She needs to tell him to cut the ties w/ thoses friends. They are not friends if they are tying to wreck his happy home. That is the only hting that is going to work, sometimes these things just have to be done.

Haha, that if she gets another chance to pick a better man. Damn! That's sad. Did she have no idea about his history?
