I'd wait for the Vet, I know your cat is itching and scratching but it is best not to put any kind on non RX. cream on a cat sense they lick and there could be something harmful, and soap from a bath can dry out her skin and make things worse.

Sounds like a cat of mine. He was part siamese and suffers from eczema. The vet will give you steroids to control it but I found that if I put more oil in his diet the dry skin went away DO NOT GIVE YOUR CAT ANY OLD OIL. The vet recommened I give my kitty "Oil of Primrose" (capsules kind of expensive) but a less expensive and JUST AS AFFECTIVE treatment was to go to your local grocer and get SAFFLOWER not sunflower but SAFFLOWER oil. Put some in a saucer and the kitty should just lick it right on up. This really helped my kitty with his dry skin and this was a HUGE problem in the dry, winter weather because my cats are strictly indoors so the house heat was torture on him but the oil worked wonders!
