I don't want anyone to mess their lives up because I've challenged them to an ego duel to prove their beliefs by not saving for retirement. I think one responder said it best that although they believe we're in the last days, the time period is up to God - so it would be arrogant to listen to our own ego and not prepare for ourselves and our kids with 401Ks. Again, sorry for an arrogant question.

How sweet to apologize. Yes it is true that none of us know when the end time will come. It could come tomorrow or ten years from now. What-ever date it may be, one needs to be ready, but that doesn't mean that one needs to stop living life and not prepare for the future. You said it best.....it is up to God. God Bless and take care!!

People have been saying it is the Last Days ever since the death of Jesus, and there have been predictions that the world would end in almost every century over the last 2000 years.

Jehovahs Witnesses have been saying the end would come on many dates since the formation of the Watchtower Society in the 1800's, and every prediction proved to be wrong. For instance they starting preaching that "millions now living will never die" in 1918, believing paradise was to begin in 1925. Many that thought that would never need to save for retirement are now dead.

Whether or not a person chooses to believe the teachings of 'end of the world' religions, the wise person will carefully plan for the future as well. This includes having a retirement fund.

The Bible "God's Word" tells us not to worry about tomorrow, tomorrow will have it's own worry period.

God knows every hair on your head, he knows when a single sparrow falls to the ground. He clothes the fields of our country with awesome beauty. Yet he loves you even more.

However, He also tells us to be good stewards with our money and expects us to use sane spending habits and savings. The Bible tells us the average person lives to be 70, and with health technology getting better, many live longer. It would be wise to save for the future, and God understands this quite well.

In Revelation, the merchants felt bad for the harlot after it was destroyed by the great beast. When I see merchants I think money will still be here until a new system of things takeover.

Thats very nice and humble of you to see err in your own ways and not those of others.

Thank you.

I agree with it....these seem to be the end times, but Jesus Himself said no man kows the day or the hour. So I will live my life as best I can till something happens.....or I die

Thanks again.,..respect to u

Act as if it is going to happen today, plan on it as if it weren't going to happen for a hundred years.
