gender is based on the type of sperm that fertilises the egg if it is male u will have a boy if it is female u will have a girl if u r trying for a boy go to the drugstore and get an ovulation kit it will tell u the bets time to have sex to try and get the right sperm and egg to make a boy they r about 100 dollars and have worked for a few people i know but your chances are 50/50 and make sure u and your partner want a baby not just a boy or u will set him and yourself up for heartache just try for a healthy baby that is all anyone can wish for

For most women there's a 50% chance of having a boy. Each time you get pregnant you have the same chance of having a boy. So the odds are 1 in 2 that you'll get a specific sex each time you have a baby. It would seem that if you've had a lot of one you should somehow be "due" for the other, but it doesn't work that way.

It's still going to be 50/50. Your family history has nothing to do with the sex of your child. The only time family history plays a role is when it comes to fraternal twins and that's based on the mother's history only. They say though that more male babies are born per year then females so you might get lucky. What do you feel like it is? Do you have very strong feeling it's a boy/girl? Usually, mother's instinct is correct, but not all the time. Congratulations!

Hi,
scientific fact is 50/50

in case of your husbands family that is just beating the odds somewhere else in the world another family is in reverse so it all balances out, even though i heard recently that there are 10 million more women in america and the precentage is higher for woman in other countries but not in India, way more men only beacuse once they find out it is a girl they abort

ohh well

If your entire family had 500 girls and your husband was the only boy of 499 girls...you'd still have a 50/50 chance of having a boy.

Your family's history of girls and boys doesn't affect your odds of having a boy. Each time you have a child there is a 50% chance of having a boy, regardless of how many other children you have and what their sexes are.

It is only the guys sperm that determines the sex of the child. The mother has nothing to do with it.And there is no way of knowing if you have a good chance of having a boy.My brother-in-law came from 4 boys and he and my sis have 3 girls. There is just no way of telling.
I am currently 27 weeks pregnant with my 2nd boy-I was hoping for a girl-but oh well-you love what you get!

Really, it's 50/50. I also have a girl, pregnant now and hoping for a boy :) But I'll be happy either way. Good luck!

Yeah, I'm going with 50/50. Just remember that boy sperm swim quicker but girls last longer so if you time you unprotected "lovemaking" to early in your ovulation cycle you may increase your chances of a boy.
