Gaining weight does not mean gaining muscle. Perhaps you are not aware that in your teen years, you gain height long before you increase in girth. Most teen boys go through a "gangly" phase where they are seemingly too tall in proportion to their bodies. Getting started on a solid weight training program is a good idea, but scrap the books and magazines. Hire a personal trainer for a few sessions who can set you up on a solid program so that you are using your time effectively. You will need more calories of fat, carbs and protein, all in balance. Eating more protein does not mean gaining more muscle. Also, supplements promise to deliver protein to the muscle FASTER, but research proves that the muscles don't use the protein as fast as the supplements provide, which means that most of it is wasted, anyway. Just eat more food. Don't worry about how much. When you work hard in the gym, you will get hungrier. I've been a personal trainer for 10 years and I don't use supplements. I've put on LOTS of muscle by eating normal, everyday food (but healthy food). I figure God knew what he was doing when He made the stuff.

To gain weight, you would have to eat a lot of high carbohydrate and fatty foods. At this time of year (the holidays), that should not be too hard.

Your way too young to be worried about it. You really cant do anything about it. Just wait till you get older and done with puberty. My brother is the same. He wants to get bigger cause he says he looks to skinny. Even if you worked out and gain muscle you still wont get any bigger. Just be patient and wait till you get older.

whey protein and a serious lifting regiment
most your gains will start happening when your about 16 though
or as soon as you have hair on the back of your legs.

You need a high protein diet mixed with a strict strengthening exercise routine.
