Always remember that good teachers are there to teach and they know not all the students will understand. And also, when you approach a teacher say, "Hello Mr./Mrs. So-and-so, I had a question on...... " and you should be fine.

Remember they are just teachers, you will be better than them when you grow up. Just talk to them like any other human being. They are not special, just overpaid average folks who work 9 months out of the year.

I use to be shy in school too! It can prevent you from doing alot of great things in school and in life! Once you show people you have so much to offer, and you actually beleive it yourself, you will see a difference in people, and the way they see you and treat you!

The best way I know how is to watch someone who does have confidence. Or pretend like you have confidence...fake it til you make it. Confidence is hard to describe...I guess if you stop fearing judgment, and believe in yourself, you have confidence.

Maybe if you understand teachers care and want to help if you are struggling, would change your hesitation.

I am a teacher and always welcome my students questions...there is never a stupid question. I think you may find your teachers willing to assist you.
