Go to your local library and check out the book Skin Type Solution by Dr. Leslie Baumann or check out the website www.16skintypes.com. Find out what skin type you have before you buy any product. You may think that you have it figured out already but you will be surprised when you read this book. If this book would have been around during my teens, I could've been a lot happier and saved more money!! She offers many suggestions and at 33 and just a few weeks...I finally have beautiful skin and a fatter wallet!

Acne is a result from lots of things. Diet, stress levels, environment, health, face washing routine, genetics, etc. Each person will react differently to each product but make sure you start from the inside first. Eating healthier will help cleanse your body and rid of toxins that might result on your skin. Eating greasy, fried foods will definately show results on your face. Drinking lots of water is a natural body cleanse and the results will show up on your skin. P.S. I'm not saying that you don't eat healthy, etc but you need to take a look at what could be causing the acne and prevent it from there. Just an example: I drink about 4L water a day and try to eat healthy but I still have acne due to stress, health problems. Anyway hope this gives you some answers and good luck!

Try a dermatologist. Or try Acne Free. It's basically the same as proactive. You can get Acne Free at almost any drugstore and at Walmart and Target. Its about 20 bucks for a kit. But dont expect it to work immediatley , it could be a couple of weeks before you see a change. Good Luck!

There are a few things you can do: 1.) Find a skin care regimen and stick to it. I use Aubrey Organics to combat my acne, and I'm finally winning the fight! 2.) Watch your diet. Whatever you put into your body affects ALL of you. So if you are eating garbage, your skin will reflect that. 3.) Watch what touches your face. This is a big one. Keep your hands off of your face. Also, you may find it helpful to shower and wash your hair before going to bed, as shampoo, body lotion, etc. can get onto your pillow and then transfer onto your facial skin as you sleep.

Good luck!

If you’re looking for accurate acne information, best to see a dermatologist. Some people believe doctors are predisposed to take the easy way to deal with acne… prescription drugs. But, with many, this simplistic answer may not be the appropriate course of action. Some feel that such prescription drugs just treat the symposium and not the underlying cause. But, a local dermatologist is still your best starting point.

For me personally, I discovered a great informational acne treatment site. Not only is there good information/articles but I got their audio e-book and following it’s advice can now say that my acne is a thing of the past! Keep in mind, were all different and there are various types of acne, so what works for some may not be totally effective for all.

Bottom line, hang in there, you will get past this! Sincere best wishes and good luck.
Oh, by the way the site that helped me is:

Go to your dermatologist and ask him to prescribe you a special soap or cream. That's what I did. If the soap doesn't work and your acne is really bad, the doctor will give you a pill to take but it's really dangerous. But most of the time the soap works.

I had acne for awhile and I tried all sorts of creams to clear it up, but none of them worked and if they did they had side effects. I would wash your face throughly every day and see your dermatologist for ideas. However I found thatc covering the blemish with a dab of honey and place a Band-Aid over it words really well. Honey kills the bacteria, keeps the skin sterile, and speeds healing. Works overnight, good luck!

Avon products are just as good if not better than Proactive. They have that glycolic acid in them as well. Avon is much less expensive as well. Try "PoreFection" line by Avon. It's Fab! Don't dry out your face either, it makes your skin produce more pore clogging oil. You still need to mosturize. Try to reduce stress in your life. Drink ton's of water. Remember you are your worst critic. Try to relax, your beautiful.
