4 years of college + 4 years of dental school = 8 years. if you want to specialize, it's an additional 2-4 years depending on your specialization (ortho, oral surgery, perio, prostho, etc)

The rest of their life! Education is a life long endeavor. Science changes constantly. I use about 10% of what I learned in dental school. Generally 3-4 undergrad and 3-4 dental school. There is one 3 year dental school.

For the USA, PiGuy_1 is correct. Although 4 years of college is not _mandatory_, the greatest majority of dental school applicants will be college graduates, so it's as good as required for a competitive application.

they already finished schooling before entering to dental faculty.
in uni they got to spend 5 yrs.
