I have to agre with the previous post that yes you will encounter electrical problems. If you could spend a little more go for a bmw x3 with fewer options, or a jeep commander.

That seems a bit wrong. Nissan replaced the alternator under warranty on the 2003 Muranos. I almost never see any electrical problems with the Muranos. Just a radio CD player once in a while. We at the north texas area Nissan dealership have several coworkers that drive them. Other than odd shape hatch and not much cargo space seats up. Murano is a favorite In Texas traffic. Just go out and drive one.

Most of your so-caled "answers" always answer the same way, trying to get people to buy American or buy a BMW. Don't fall for that. The Murano is an excellent vehicle - recommended year after year by Consumer Reports. Look the vehicle up on Edmunds.com.
I have not heard of any significant elec. problems. Check the web for service bulletins on the vehicle. The people I know who own Muranos would never sell them - it's a great vehicle. It is about the size of a 70s station wagon inside, so it's not an SUV. Most families with two kids find them to be just fine. Larger families will be cramped.

We have an 06 Murano which has had an electrical issue. We have put 2 batteries in it. I thought they died due to the severe heat we have had and the severe cold. Have noticed just recently the clock had reset itself and a skip in the electrical panel. My husband got to looking on the internet and found a site for issues with your car. Here was a reported problem just like my car. I am forbidden to get back behind the wheel of this car. It can die in the middle of the highway at 60mph. We also looked for the same issue on the 06 Titan we owned had that had a ghost that made the windows open on their own and the electrical panel act crazy. It had the same problem.

You cannot add a BOSE audio with it's pre amp out puts to a non amplified system with out BOSE amp speakers. Next 6 disk system and DVD player for navigation was designed into the car to play the mapping software and display screen and AV driver. So if you blew the audio fuse under the hood the system might not turn on. But if you installed a BOSE into a non Bose Murano you need all the other stuff to make it play above a whisper. DVD display unit and player in console is a separate system for rear seat passengers only that you can play thru the audio system speakers.
