My sons daycare room has a teacher, an assistant and a floating assistant, who used to be the primary assistant. I would like to get gifts for them all. Any ideas? Also, what's a reasonable amount to spend on each and do I spend the same for each? Thanks

Pier 1 has these Christmas ornaments call Li Bien that are soooooo beautiful and they come in their own fabric covered box and are dated 2006. They are between $10 and $12 and make the perfect gift for someone who gives your son such great care but won't break your budget.

I'd say 15-20 is the max I'd spend. Maybe spend a little more on the teacher.
How about a nice Christmas ornament? Or a lotion gift set? If your at a real loss gift cards are great. Considering that in most cases a lot of teaching tools and supplies come out of the daycare providers pocket, a bookstore or supply store gift card would be nice. And on the flip side of that how about a nice certificate for a facial or a massage, help her get rid of the stress of chasing the little ones all week long. Just try and remember, most every teacher has about 100 different "#1 teacher" knick-knacks.

Some thing to help them relax like a gift basket of bath goodies or a gift certificate to a bath and body shop. Give them something nice but make sure a gift card is to a store where they can't buy things for the kids to use. Many teachers do that but a gift should be for them.

I used to work in a daycare and absolutely anything would be appreciated. Many people don't do anything, so anything given is a wonderful gesture. The best gift is a gift card to Wal-Mart, the local grocery, etc. Something convenient. I would give $10-$15, the same amount to each person.

Something totally unrelated to kids to give them a break. I tip my hat to these ladies that can deal with alot of kids at once when I have trouble with one sometimes. The amount you spend or who you spend the most on doesn't really matter. Not many parents recognize their caregivers so I'm sure this is truly a case of "It's the thought that counts"

I once received a gift card to a local movie theater and a homemade ornament from the child. It wasn't too expensive, and gave me an excuse to treat myself. Just make sure that if they are married the gift card will cover two people.

I have been thinking about the same thing...only I have 6 teachers/aides between my two kids...ugh!

I was thinking of coming up with an original poem for them and giving it to them with some homemade cookies...very cheap--I'm going for the sentimentality, I guess!

Good Luck

Something cheap...I don't mean cheap as in breakable garbage, but you don't need to spend a lot...especially with 3 of them. How about a nice picture frame or a Christmas ornament or something like that?
