Ain't very much to it.
If you're dealing with the Spirit... are you trinitarian or unitarian or what?
Would you have some sort of creed?
How would it be organized?
Could you marry people?
Do you believe in Baptism?
If you're going to form a new religion, you'll probably need to think about a lot more than works.... you'll need to know how to deal with the needs of people in your religion.

i don't like this idea that people say God is always talking to us and we just have to listen. right now God gives advice to people for their own life but it's only a matter of time before people start thinking that God is giving them advice on what other people should do. why should your religion dismiss all the words written by the prophets that so many have died for. i think any Christian religion should only teach from the Bible. in the Bible it talks about the Holy Spirit and therefore you should teach that but also teach the other things that we are suppose to learn. he who has an ear let him hear what Jesus said.

if your religion is only between your spirit and the spirit of God, then why would you make it into a religion? Religion gets distorted so there is hardly anything left of the original meaning. If that is the way you want to live your life, then just live your life that way. As soon as you include other people your vision will be distorted and you will fail the very purpose you set out to accomplish.

Go ahead and form another religion...let's just see how long it lasts.
We've got so many religions now, they seem to fit human kinds needs, but what about the "gods" that are made up in the process? Do they not have needs as well?
It seems now that every religion is just a melting pot of other religions...Even Christianity and Catholicism.

A lot of nuts and crackpots have formed a religion before you and a lot succeeded. So I wish you "good luck". Don't forget that for a religion to be successful you must promise something inaccessible to people, else they won't follow you. Christians used to promise Paradise, Muslims promised Virgins.. Try to find something cute and fun. Me I have a sort of club-religion of fans and I promised them that if they listen to me reciting my poems I will give them a winning ticket to the loto. Jesus made the truth concerning the Fathers' will very clear. "And this is the will of him that sent me that everyone that seethe the Son and believeth on him may have everlasting life and I will raise him up at the last day" also "My fathers' will is that you believe on him whom he hath sent" (Jesus)
Gods will for all men everywhere is that they believe on the Lord Jesus Christ as their savior and trust only in him. The people who Jesus mentions that he vever knew are those who decided to make it into heaven by their works and not trust him to save them!

You should check out the Quakers. What you are describing sounds like their "inner light" philosophy.

Do we tithe to you so that you can afford to pay for drugs and male prostitutes? Where do we mail the money?
