There are many witches in the world.
I personally don't like calling myself a witch because of TV media hype.. It doesn't explain about witchcraft or being a witch at all.
Wicca.. is a initiated tradition .. So you couldn't really say a witch was in fact a Wiccan unless they were initiated into the tradition.
And there are a few different traditions.
People that pray to satan are normally called satanists..These are not to be confused with witches, But there are still alot of ill informed people out there and they just put everyone in the one boat and call them evil.
I call myself Pagan. I follow a spiritual Religious path .
Rather than just a magical Path.
Blessings ALD

Yes. There are many people who practice magick or witchcraft and call themselves witches. I'm don't consider myself a true which yet, because I feel that I must learn much more, but I am a witch at heart.

My neighbour in Texas is a witch. She sends malefices around the city to a lot of people, she has miracle medecines, she makes funny ceremonies at night that last for hours and sometimes prevent me to fall asleep, one day she wanted to have sex with me and tried to give me a special potion, another day she said that if I helped her to do someone in she would make me rich... So if you think that witches are a thing of the past you are wrong...Everybody in the island say she is nuts, me I tell you she is a terrible witch

Yes I believe I am a Witch. Dead people speak to me and my only explanation is I am a Witch. I don't cast spells or ride on broom handles but I do own a black cat and speak with dead people. The Witch of Endor summoned Samuel from his grave for King Saul. I have never summoned anyone they just come to me. I'm not asking anyone to believe me so please no email saying you don't believe me or asking me to prove it. I know it's true and that's what matters to me. Yes there are Witches. Kisses Betty.

There is a saying that "he has the whole world in his hands." This can be applied to Satan the Devil, who has the world "in his hands" and therefore can manipulate, or do whatever he wants to it. 1 John 5:19 even says that "the whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one."
Therefore, as long as Satan is the real ruler of this world, there will always be witches, although not too visible to find. Such witches are dabbling with spiritism and divination, both works are condemned in the Bible. (See Deuteronomy 18:9-14)

It all depends in what your meaning of a witch is. My spiritual practices are of my ancestors the Yoruba and Native American. People call me a witch because I sell and perform spells for myself and for others.

Well, there are people who believe in something called "Wicca" which can be interpreted as witchcraft, but they aren't really the cackling warty sort that most people are familiar with. I suggest you do more research on Wiccans.
