You could just look at one of my earlier questions, where some answerers asserted that parts or all of it had been been proven to be true.

Why does the world always need proof? But you asked for it. Jesus fulfilled Everything said about Him in the Old Testament except those things that will happen from now till the end .
The Bible also said that Israel would become a nation "in a day" and it did on May 14,1948. It says that the Jewish people would come back to Israel from the North,South,East and West and they have been doing this buy the hundreds and thousands in many cases, from all over the world since the 1800's. The bottom line is that the Bible also says,"The just shall live by faith" and that has happened in my life and the lives of countless others. A person with an experience is never at the mercy of a person with an argument. Why don't you read it instead of relying on what others say about it? Read Psalm 34:8 and Jerimiah 33:3.

There was actually a History Channel program that investigated the section of the bible covering the exodus from Egypt and the 7 curses or whatever including the seas parting.

What they found was that there was a MASSIVE, and I mean MASSIVE, volcanic eruption in Sicily. It blew ash into the sky like you wouldn't believe. They theorize that the poison from the ash in the water could have caused the frogs and fish to die (the frogs were trying to get out of the poisoned water), people touching the fish and frogs would have contracted disease that was caused by the polluted water.

The statement (I'm not completely familiar with the Bible) about traveling in darkness by day and a pillar of fire by night was explained by they heavy ash cloud in the sky that would have been there for many days. It would have blocked out the sun, but the particles would have charged and caused static electricity at night.

The red sea parting could have realistically been from the wave sent across the ocean. By the time it reached Egypt it was only about 2 feet tall, but it would have sucked the water back for a little bit before the 2-3ft wave came through. They could have been very lucky and made it during that time. Although the wave wasn't huge, it would have been big enough to knock over their pursuers and let them escape.

If you take those things that seem so simple to us now, and put yourself in the shoes of someone back then, all of those happenings are miracles from God.

Like I said, I'm not very familiar with the bible because I think some of it is historical accounts and the rest is bs, so I know I'm leaving a lot of details out but they went step by step and explained it. Although I'm not a "believer", I can't discount that there may be some true stories in there and the History Channel convinced me that this may have realistically been one of those stories.

Certain cities referenced in the OT have been found, such as Babylon. The Hittite empire, once thought to be a fable has been located. As a historical document, the Bible had been shown to be fairly accurate. I'll point to a web site below.

Extrabiblical evidence has been found to support a number of events in the New Testament. Christ does seem to be a real historical figure.

Is all of the Bible scientifically and historically factual? I don't think so. I don't think it was meant to be. The Torah, from which we got the Old Testament wasn't written in a fashion that permitted it to be strictly interpreted. The Jewish written language didn't contain vowels. It was the job of the reader to insert vowels between the consonants, and different vowels would yield different meanigs. Whe Modern translators came up with a strict interpretation, they removed a great deal of the searching and exploration and mystery that those books were originally meant to have. This also means that a strict interpretation wasn't even intended in the first place.

Anyway,, I'm getting beyond the answer to your question. Below is the link I mentioned.

well ok look at the shape of the world right now. all the wars going on and the diease and the nautral diasers that is the signs of the end times. ok so ur might sayin theres always wars and dieases and natural diasers... but one after another as they are coming right now. and everyone is risin to power trying to gain power, and just look at how people act... if u read the Bible and read the parts bout the end times then u will know they are here. and the earthquakes in random places throughout the world........off of that topic.. everything in the Bible is true and will or have already happen. u cant believe in some parts of the Bible and not the other. either u take it all as it says or none at all.. theres no inbetween with God its like making a cake if u dont put all the ingridents it calls in then the cake is not gonna come out right.. u cant pick and choose what u are going to put in the cake.. just like u cant pick and choose what part of the bible i believe in.. One thing needs the next thing..

The ringing of the nose bringeth forth blood, I'll prove it if you come here. lol

Actually there is a lot of the prophecy about the end times coming true right now. Israel has become a nation again, with the same language and the same boundaries just like the bible predicted 2600 years ago. They are supposed to become the wealthiest nation according to predictions based on the oil deposits just found and it is said that they will be attacked for their wealth. The Bible says that Babylon(Iraq) will not be one of the countries that attack in the coming Battle and now they are not in a position too, for the first time in history. They just came out with 4,000 harps like the ones that belonged to King David had so now the temple can be built on Temple Mound in Jerusalem. That is just a small look at prophecy coming true today

God Bless

What is of more importance is that nothing in the Bible has ever been proved to be untrue. Over the years scientists have said that there was no evidence of various civilizations or that King David ever existed and yet as archaeologists continued their work that evidence has been found. Scientists theorize about evolution but they can't prove anything more than the fact that micro-evolution occurs within a species. You can look at various links on the Free Stuff page or click on the Answers button on the main page at http://web.express56.com/~bromar/ and find all kinds of scientific proofs of truths found in the Bible.

It is not 2006? That is 2006 years after Jesus Christ walked this earth.

Your problem is Satan has blinded your eyes to the truth!

2 Corinthians Ch 4: 3 & 4 " But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

I have been following things you post here on answers and was wondering why you are having such a hard time with Christians. Is it you are trying hard to convince yourself the Bible is some how false, so you can have peace to believe whatever it is that you are into? It is very apparent something is bothering you. Why don't you spend some time reading the Bible and really study it. Pray that God will open your eyes to the truth. Jesus Christ is very real. John 14:6 Jesus said, " I am the way, the truth and the life, no man cometh unto the Father, but by me". Stop fighting God, and seek the truth.

If you get specific proof will that help you to believe...or will you then question the proof?

Jesus said an evil and adulterous generation seeks a sign Matthew 12:39 But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas:

I will give you 3 verses in the bible that show specific proof...it is up to you to believe...
1) Jeremiah 33:20-21 Thus saith the Lord; If ye can break my covenant of the day, and my covenant of the night, and that there should not be day and night in their season;
21. Then may also my covenant be broken with David my servant,

This basically means that if a man can change the relationship between night and day..you know the covenant...if you can change them...then you can change Gods word
2)Ecclesiastes 3:14 know that, whatsoever God doeth, it shall be for ever: nothing can be put to it, nor any thing taken from it: and God doeth it, that men should fear before him.
what God has done especially in his word cannot be changed..it is forever..and seeing that He is Alpha and Omega which is the beginning and the end of all things..He already saw that men could not change the word..
3)Jesus said twice ..once in Matthew 5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
and Matthew 24 :34-35 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.
35. Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

Both sound alike but what Jesus is literally saying it is easier for the earth and the heavens to pass away than for one jot or tittle of his word to fail...IT cannot fail otherwise existence as we know it would cease. no more earth ..if God would have seen men could change Gods word to the effect where it is null or void...not so..we are still here because it has not and cannot happen..proof enough?..only if you receive it...Jesus said let him who has ears let him hear ..God bless

do you atheists not get tired of Christians asking you stupid questions? Does this not fall into that area. Tripping around asking questions of people who are just trying to be nice to you exposes a certain sadestic quality you have. You do not want an answer to this question cuz it is way not the first time you asked it. Once again I feel I must take your ruler away and spank you. Bad doggy.
and I would except I find your perversity soooo amusing

don't like poodles though try a schnauser
