sorry my question was not totally clear. my measuring cup doesn't have 7/8? what would half of1/3/4 be in cups

use a measuring cup
it is like a small pitcher with a handle
not the scoop type measuring cups
the type i suggest is marked with ounces on it
it works with flour, sugar, etc. as well as liquids
vey common in the stores
surprised you never heard of it
you need 7 ounces to make 1/2 of 1-3/4
or just slightly less of a 1 cup scoop measure it doesn't have to be so exact
