Emotions and stress play a lot into how much we eat. If you feel you are swamped with things to do, you will naturally eat faster (to save time of course) but in doing so, you will not be satisfied with what you have eaten.
Even if you have to set aside at least 20 minutes for a meal, you should do this and then sit down and take a break while you eat. It is much better than to keep getting up and running to the cupboards to get more snacks while you are studying. You can snack while you study, but try to keep the snacks healthy: fruits, veggies, rice cakes, popcorn and only eat from one bowl, don't keep getting up for more.

And realize too, that if you are stressed or emotionally drained you will want to eat more or just find yourself eating a lot of junk foods. It's Ok to have a splurge. Dont' beat yourself up over it, otherwise, you may just continue to worsen your eating habits. If you overindulge in some food, just get over it right away and vow to do better tomorrow (or better yet, the rest of TODAY)

Hope this helps! and also, 3 10 minute exercise sessions still add up to 30 minutes and is much better than nothing. Even 10 minutes for the day, if it's all you have time for.

You can't stop eating, but you can develop more sensible eating habits. Now, understand that this is 20/20 hindsight on my part: it is advice I am giving from my experience of messing myself up when I was younger by not dealing with this sooner.

When you eat too fast, you get more than you really need before your "appestat" has time to tell your brain that you've had enough. It takes about 20 minutes for the word to get through to the brain, so if you eat too fast, you can easily eat more than you need in 20 minutes.

I'm not sure this is a solution for you, but one thing you might look into is Overeaters Anonymous. It runs on the same 12-step program as Alcoholics Anonymous, except that obviously you cannot completely avoid food the way you can alcohol. The trick is to learn not to eat compulsively; decide what is the right diet for you today and stick to that today. It is all done one day at a time. One meal at a time if necessary. I lost about 140 lbs. that way, which will tell you something about how much I had to start with. Sadly, that was years ago, and I've gained it all back over the years.

The reason it is not good for everyone is that you must go to meetings pretty often to keep the program working right. And I'm just not a meeting person, myself. But I will say it worked while I was going to meetings and calling my sponsor with my plan for the day, and working the steps.

It is not the program's fault I stopped going.

Although I would like to know this answer too, I have found, personally, that drinking a lot of water helps out get rid of hunger. I have managed to lose about 5 pounds in 2 weeks by doing this. Also, make sure you only put a small portion in your view, so that you aren't prone to just eating everything on your plate, or around you.

Hi,
I've tried all different diets, and the weight loss is only temporary. I finally tried diet pills on the market are made from Hoodia. I saw this stuff on ABC News. It's all natural and safe, and it works! My wife took it for a month and dropped 20 pounds. I took it for a month and lost about 13 (but I didn't exercise).

I bought the natural hoodia from this website: http://www.alllsite.info/free-diet-pills.php . I checked the web site address so I can post it here and I saw they're running a promotion now to get a free 2 week sample for only $4.97! I'm going to order this supply for my wife and give it to her for Christmas =)

Just a thought if you don't want to bother with meals you can do the Isalean shakes which are awesome they really fill you up I never feel the urge to snack, saves me money that way...those snack pit stops were killing the pocketbook and wasting time. Then all you have to do is concentrate on the one meal you will eat. This has made me conscious of what I am eating and helped me make better choices for my one meal.

Eating smaller, more frequent meals should actually stabilize your weight because it keeps your metabolism going, therefore, I'm assuming that you're eating all the wrong foods. When you're snacking, just make sure you're having healthy snacks .. fruit, nuts, oatcakes, etc and stay clear of any sugary drinks. Drink lots of water/unsweetened fruit juice instead.

just make sure that you dont have access to bad food. If you eat apples all day long, its not as bad as eating a box of chip ahoy. Just stock up on things that you like but arent bad for you. Raisins, sunflower seeds, oranges, apples, yogurt.... whatever you can think of that will keep you satisfied and not having you eat unhealthy.
