Pin curls are easy. While the hair is wet, add whatever holding product you want to use. I suggest a gel rather than a mousse.

Separate a 1 inch square section of hair and comb to remove any tangles. Place your left hand over your head above the section of hair. Using your right hand, curl that section around your index finger, making sure it's not too tight. When curling is done, hold the curl in place with your right hand and slide your index finger out. Use your left hand to hold the curl in place against your head while you pin it in place with a bobby pin. The curls will hold better if you use two bobby pins in an X formation.

When all your hair is pin curled, place a loosely woven scarf over your head to hold the pins in place, and sleep overnight on them.

Take out in the morning, beginning at the base of the head and moving to the forehead so your newly released hair doesn't tangle with the still pinned curls.

Separate the curls with your fingers--DO NOT brush.

You would need a hood dryer and magnetic rollers- that means the old timy plastic ones that you have to use the little metal clips to hold in to place- use a setting gel (not too much) and roll your hair in the direction you want it to go- for not too much poof don't roll it up real tight to your head and the curls stay at the bottom of your hair and hang freely. Experiment with different sizes in rollers to find the best look for you. That is such a fun look and its really easy to get! The finger waves are another vintage style done simply with gel and a comb and your fingers- usually someone else has to do it for you- and you set it under the dryer and lightly brush it out- look it up on line. :) Good Luck!

Either wigs or use rollers or large pin curls. I think the Hurt video she is wearing a short wig. The style she wears as a platinum blonde is done with either rollers or large pin curls.... I don't know for a fact, but it looks that way.
