My guess is that they had the wrong house that doesnt justify the lady for shooting at them but it doesnt make what they did right either. as most of my friends are cops not in atl but where i live. it is inbeded in your mind you get shot at you shot back. so i would be looking for the misinformation where it came from and how they got it so wrong. following an investigation i bet nothing happens if they have bullet wounds it was self defense it is not what people will want to hear but thats where it will go.

First of all none of us were there. All of you need to take away the fact that the lady who died was 92 years old, no matter how sad it makes you feel. As well, you need to take away the possibility that the officers may have been at the wrong home. The fact remains, even the witnesses have said so on TV, that the Police Officers entered the home identifying themselves as officers and WERE SHOT BY THE WOMAN FIRST! Now, I'm not too sure how many of you would just stand there and allow someone to shoot you without taking some type of defensive action but I would venture to say that the vast majority of you would not. Police Officers are trained to stop the threat which in this case would be shooting back at their assailant. There is little time to stop and decide whether or not your returning fire at the shooter is going to result in extensive media coverage with liberal minded civil rights idiots meandering all over the television without first being responsible enough to ascertain the facts of what had happened. They would rather stuff their coffers with the funds that will certainly come their way via their irresponsible remarks. Maybe we should all sit back and allow the system to work and reserve judgement until after the facts have been gathered. I find it utterly disgusting that anyone would vilify the very people who are called to help us in times of need. As I've stated before, if you don't like the police call a plumber or someone else and see if they can help. Better yet, get your lazy butt up from your chair, attend a police academy, strap on the more than 30 lbs of gear along with a bullet resistant vest daily and make the difference you so desperately want to see. Until that happens why don't you let the facts come out until you render your judgement and sentence? My prayers and thoughts go to ALL of the victims in this incident.

I am still trying to get past the entire thing of a 92 year old woman having a gun that handy. . .

I don't know if Atlanta is becoming the "new LA", but it is rather crazy to see all of the shootouts happening.

Really? 92?

I'm in Atlanta. I saw this on tonight's news. No one ever said if the police went to the right house or not. Wouldn't it just be sick if they were wrong? A poor little old lady shot by the cops....It's just tragic.

I don't know what's happening to Atlanta nowadays. LA? Maybe you're right.
