Can anyone tell me about ADHD?

Is there a way to control ADHD without Medication, and as an employer what are some good methods to assist in developing my employees potential?

I suspect that ADHD like ADD does not exist except in the minds of people who want to have SOMETHING wrong with them to excuse bad behaviour. They invented PMS to excuse bad bitchy behaviour in women . That is awesome, I couldnt have said it better myself. Personally i think alot of it has to do with te PARENTS.. yes i said it. This sparethe rod and spoil the child ******** has to go... Your kid wont pay attention? They just do what they want? lmfao thats YOUR fault as a parent, not theirs.... they push the envelope to tet the boundries of what they can get away with... its your job as a parent to SET those boundries, and ENFORCE them. A belt works well, my parents favored the "board of education" .... you take a 2" thick by 16" long piece of wood, trim one side down a bit for a handle, and have your kid decorate it. Let them know up front what it is for, and all the time they spend decorating it, they will be thinking about the feeling of the impact on their little ****.

As for assisting with "developing my employees potential" , There is no right management style for everyone, you have to be adaptave to the situation and the indavidual people that you are leading. If these people are dimwits that cant pay attention, well, perhaps they are in the wrong line of work. Everyone has the "potential" to do whatever they set their mind to. But thats just it.. they have to WANT to do it. Granted, no one WANTS to be the garbage man, but that guy WANTS to collect his paycheck, WANTS to feed his family.... so his WANT to get paid overcomes his apathy to his job.

I suspect this person needs a healthy dose of reality, mixed with a fair portion of size 12 boot, applied liberaly to the hindquarters. Feel free to repeat as needed.

FIrst of all....until you deal with a child who has ADHD then you have the right open your damn mouth. My 9 yrs old son has ADHD and I tried everything not to put him on meds. Changed his diet, he got punished for not behaving in class....I did everything I could think of. Read all these articles and read books but nothing helped.

Finally I put him on Sterrera and it has so helped him to listen in class. Sterrera is not a controlled substance like most ADHD medication. My son told me about a year after we put him on the meds that it helped his brain slow down so he can listen better.

I was so against putting him on medication but it has to helped_

it depends on how bad the adhd is if it can be controlled without meds. but without meds the best thing that you can do it give them very easy things to do that don't have alot of detail to them, and video games are a big no no. my son is adhd but he has to be on meds or he just can't focus at all.

well as i see it putting your kid or anyone on Drugs are wrong as you just said yourself ''put him on the meds that it helped his brain slow down so he can listen better.'' so lets make him slow and dumb way to go mom just cause your child does not listen and wants to run around and do what he or she whats just means you didn't put your foot up his *** when he need it so lets put the child on drugs cause mommy and daddy fu*cked up and was not on top of things like telling him or her NO and putting your foot down as i see it ITS just another way for bad PARENTS to get out of just saying to everyone Yes i made my child this way....its all about the parents that sucked on being mom or dad so they have to have excuse for bad behavior... and i agree with lvvl3t4 on what he said ''Just give them a pay rise and see grow much better they work!!!!!
