Does that mean that they will send me my card within 30 days or do I have to wait for something else? Do you think it will take the whole 30 days to get it also?

I doubt if I was denied. It was a student card and its not even based on income. They said they would send me something in the mail in 30 days. I just wanted to know will they send me something before the card itself and will it really take 30 days or could it be a shorter amount of time.

When I applied for my first credit card i was told the same thing and i was send in a letter i the mail asking for a copy of my i.d or any thing with my street address and then they mailed the card out or its just a credit card company that doesnt give instant decisions, and it will only take 2 weeks to find out if they declined you or not, what student card was it?

Meaning A) you didn't get the card B) they are going to send you an offer on another card based on your past credit history requiring possibly a deposit or a smaller limit etc. Usually credit cards are there in 2 weeks under normal conditions. Don't be to anxious to get it and read the fine print over and over until you are satisfied you have read all the rules and regs. they throw at you. After reading it you may want to cut it up and go with a different company. Best place to go is with your local bank you bank with the most. That way you can talk to the manager in person about this subject. In your case I would call the C.C company ask them what they meant by the letter they sent.

I don't know. Usually, if I am at an establishment and want to get credit they have told me right on the spot that I was approved and had a credit limit of so many dollars. But this could be a different kind of deal. Good luck. If you do get a card, make your payments on time and try to pay it off before the balance gets too big so all you a doing is making the interest payment--bad deal. Good luck.

You were probably declined. Within 30 days, they will send you a letter and will tell you why you were declined and which bureau they used. Then you can contact the bureau used a get a free credit report.

The 30-days later messages means you got decline. The letter will explain the reason{s} why the lender did not extent you credit. and the credit bureau they use to make the decision.

it probably means you were declined. They will send you a letter stating why. If you are trying to establish credit, look for a secured card. A secured card is one that you put a deposit down on, and it allows you to establish credit safely. Good Luck.

When they say you will get an answer in 30 days, they are basically saying, "Thank you for applying, but we cannot approve you at this time." Most times, it takes less than 30 days to get these, "Sorry we can't approve you" letters. Go to http://www.creditcards.com and that should help you. Good Luck!

Unfortunately, whenever you get a response that you will something in the next 30 days, that generally means, for whatever reason, that you have been denied.
