Regardless of the organization you choose, just keep in mind that each of these "adopt-a-child" charities has its own mission.
Are you a religious couple? Do you mind giving your money to a religious organization that may try to pry children away from their traditional cultural beliefs and upbringing in order to educate them in a westernized, Christian system?
Other organizations may be less religious, but may put more of their money towards political advocacy and activism, with less going directly towards child care.
Just do your homework before making your choice.

Go to the Mall and see if they have an Angel tree.
Go to a church in your neighborhood and inquire within.
Try the Salvation Army.
It's a nice thing you and your husband are doing. May the Lord greatly bless you both.

the phone book. i suggest u find a local shelter in ur area... u can help a child that lives in the same city as u.
