Omar is overweight. Most days he is home alone after school and in the evening. Typically, he will eat frozen dinners and often will snack on cookies, chips and ice cream while he surfs the net and plays video games on his computer. On Saturdays, Omar goes to a nearby pool with friends for a swim. Omar always wears a T-shirt when he goes swimming because he doesn’t want people to see his body.

What could Omar do to improve his activity level?

He needs to increase his physical activity to more than just once a week. Unfortunately, video games do not qualify. His parents need to quit buying the junk food and instead, start buying more fresh fruits and veggies for Omar to munch on. Although maybe not the healthiest combo, but is my favorite, is baby carrots and ranch dressing (as a dip, so to speak). Peanut butter on celery and bananas. He needs to drink at least 8 glasses of water a day. Unsweetened tea works, too. Pop just adds to the calories, but if he finds a pop that he likes and can live with that is fat free & sugar free (Fresca is my choice), then a can/bottle a day won't kill him. Frozen dinners might be easier for mom, but unless it's something like Lean Cuisine or Weight Watchers; the dinners are empty nutritionally and full of calories and sodium.

Most importantly, Omar needs to be motivated to lose weight and increase his physical activity. If everyone (friends, family, etc.) nags at him, you can pretty much kiss that goodbye because he will just dig in his heels and continue as he is.

Good luck!

first and foremost he should consult a doctor to find out his weight levels etc. then joining a gym would not be a bad idea.if that is expensive then he should start by walking around 30min-1hr everyday. more fresh food needs to go into his body. TV dinners etc are way out. there are options out there where you can get something healthy like a subway etc. if he has weekends off then he should try and develop some interest in cooking and make something on the weekends which he can have during the weekday. having a salad and drinking water 1-2 glasses before having his dinner/lunch can help.

First make sure he actually wants to lose weight, if he doesn't then there really anything to do except find an activity that he likes.

If he has friends to go swimming with, he can also try to do things with them other days of the week. Go on bike rides, go on walks with his friends, play basketball, other things like that.

Try to get him to stop wearing the T-shirt, too. People already know he is overweight, cotton won't hide that. He will feel better about it if he can be more secure about that fact that he is overweight.

pass away the kitten, till that's slightly older, in a kitten-evidence room while you're long previous, it's going to be great. pass away water, nutrition, toys, and a clutter container there, and do away with something the kitten might desire to knock over(they might climb greater effective than you think of), get tangled in(cords from blinds), or get electrocuted by--unplug each and every thing, or get those plastic shields for cords, and don't pass away living house windows open. Play with it a mutually as till now you pass to college, opportunities are high it is going to sleep quite some the day besides. In some months you will no longer might desire to take all those precautions.

Hi,
I've tried all different diets, and the weight loss is only temporary. I finally tried diet pills on the market are made from Hoodia. I saw this stuff on ABC News. It's all natural and safe, and it works! My wife took it for a month and dropped 20 pounds. I took it for a month and lost about 13 (but I didn't exercise).

I bought the natural hoodia from this website: http://www.alllsite.info/free-diet-pills.php . I checked the web site address so I can post it here and I saw they're running a promotion now to get a free 2 week sample for only $4.97! I'm going to order this supply for my wife and give it to her for Christmas =)
