You can lose a lot of weight between now and the summer if you work at it a little. If you make a few life style changes you should be able to lose quite a lot of weight by July. You need to have a deficit of 3500 calories to lose a pound, so don't try to do it too fast. This is a system that has worked well for me and several friends have also been successful with it.

1. Eat three nutritious meals and three snacks everyday. Cut out junk food. You probably need about 1500 to 1800 calories a day. Many people make the mistake of not eating enough when they try to lose weight and then become discouraged. Use the calculator at one of the links to figure out a sensible number of calories for you.

2. Drink lots of water - at least 8 big glasses as day. Lots of water is essential. Stop drinking soda and other drinks with useless calories. Eat fresh fruit instead of fruit juices - the juices are very high in calories.

3. Begin a simple weight lifting program at home or at a gym. Ordinary household items (tins of soup, for example) can actually serve as weights for beginners. Buy yourself a good weight lifting book for women. Actually the "dummies" series of books has done a rather good one.

4. Walk, walk, walk. Buy yourself a pedometer and aim for 10,000 steps a day. Start by walking around the block if that is what you can do now, and increase a little every day.

5. Record everything you eat and all your exercise to make sure you have a "calorie deficit". Two of the sites I've included will help you do that. Basically burning more calories than you take in leads to weight loss. Remember you need a deficit of 3500 calories to lose one pound.

6. If you drive, do less of it and park at the back of the parking lot instead of close to the door. Always use stairs - never the elevator or escalator.

7. A mini stepper is an easy piece to equipment to have at home and gives great results. I bought mine at a second hand store for $4. Even if you use it for a minute or two several times a day it can make a big difference.

I hope these thoughts help. Be strong. You can do this. Good luck with it.

It might not be healthy to lose that amount of weight so quickly, but the best way to lose weight is to change your diet and exercise. To help keep yourself motivated put up reminders around your home and in your locker maybe.
A trick I used was I wore a bracelet (a piece of black string with the lettered beads 'K' and 'T' to stand for keep trying) and I would see the bracelet every time I went to open the fridge to snack and it helped keep me motivated.
It's really important to eat breakfast though because it starts your metabolism in the morning! Also, make a list of 'safe' snack foods so when you are hungry you know what you can reach for instead of having no clue and instead end up eating something unhealthy.
Another thing I do is to sneak exercise in during mundane things like talking on the phone I do squats or lunges and when I wake up first thing I do some sit-ups. These little things add up.
It takes 6 weeks to begin a habit, so getting through those first 6 weeks is the hardest!!
Set a goal for yourself to help keep you motivated, such as wanting to look good not only for your pictures but for summer in general, and then tell your friends and family so then can help you keep motivated.
Just don't get discouraged!! Good luck!!

I'm no expert, but being over weight myself, and I'm losing(weight) that is, by walking everywhere I can, exercising 4x's a week and cutting down on the amount of food I put on my plate. I don't eat pass 6:00pm. I have been able to lose 45lbs in 5months. I drink lots of water as well. My goal is 60 lbs. I'm almost there. It's not been easy, its been a life style change for me, But I will say this, I have so much more energy now and I never want to go back where I was, good lck, I know you can do it.!

question? Why are you eating only as quickly as an afternoon? Are you attempting to dig an early grave. Please do not try this to your self. only consume fit stuff. Like clean fruit in the morning (pears, plums, apples, and bananas are stable). Have a salad for lunch utilising spray dressing (fit and containing much less energy than the goop). For dinner attempt determining to purchase those "clever selection" or "Lean delicacies" or maybe basically a hen Caesar salad (with spray dressing if any in any respect). shop workout nevertheless. it is the load loss plan i've got been utilising for the previous month and that i've got lost approximately 20 pounds (i be attentive to, you're in all probability questioning why I basically lost that plenty. I exercised much greater which includes lifting weights and dealing so the diverse weight is muscle. Oh, and chocolate is a significant no-no. It will advance starvation point and enables you benefit weight swifter. stable success!
