I think the best age to get a tattoo is 16 because you will get the most excitement out of it since when you are at that age, any freedom is exciting! My cousin got one at that age and it was as if she had won the megabucks! And to this day she is so prowd of it! And if later in life you decide it was yet another stupid adolescent decision, you can get it removed. I think the best type for a girl is a butterfly or a rose, one with many vibrant colors in it. A butterfly with multicolored wings, or a bright red rose with very bright green petals and a stem. For a guy I think those black chain link thingees look cool. But for a guy, whatever it is I suggest it is all black. Men don't look as good with a colorful tattoo as girls do. A small black skull would look kinda cool on a guy, too. I don't know, it all depends on what your taste is. That's just my opinion. Good luck!!!!

iwouldnt get one on your arm. alot of employers dont like that.. and it could even stop you from getting a job.... unless you get it on your shoulder or somewhere that could be covered up by a shortsleeved shirt.thats just been my expirience...take it or leave it
