I like the idea, making Jerusalem an International zone was the plan when modern Israel was formed:
As the British Mandate of Palestine was expiring, the 1947 UN Partition Plan (Part III) recommended that "The City of Jerusalem shall be established as a corpus separatum under a special international regime and shall be administered by the United Nations." However, this plan was never implemented and at the end of the 1948-49 war, Jerusalem found itself divided between Israel and Jordan (then known as Transjordan).
Now Israel owns it, and discussing the fate of Jerusalem is put off until other parts of the whole mess are settled. But this or an east west split are the compromise choices. Maybe once the big rock was tackled, agreeing on the rest of the boundaries would be simpler.

They all ready tried it.
When Israel was created in 1948 Jerusalem was part of an international zone.
Then Jordan and several other nations declared war and captured most of Jerusalem.
Then in 1967 Israel took the entire city in the six day war.

Israel should get Jerusalem, because in Israel, people who are Muslim, Christian, and Jewish would be allowed to live there and/or visit it. This is very different from Palestine, where Jews are persecuted and even Christians are now being forced to evacuate the area that holds great religious significance to them. Either Palestinians should learn to become more tolerant and less racist or they don't get to keep ANY of "their" land.

Did you know that for thousands of years before the temple in Jerusalem, that same small piece of turf where the Dome of the Rock now stands was sacred to previous religions? Seems that when a land is deemed sacred, one civilization after another will consider that same land sacred to them regardless of the new religion.
I believe religion is a divisive and destructive facet of social evolution among humans. Whether or not any god exists, religion has nothing to do with it. It is a method of control and a reason to kill..
So, the question should be how to diminish religion so that there is one less reason for bloodshed. the holyland will lose its pumped up importance.

As a Muslim I will be ok with Jerusalem being under International zone but only if Israel remove their illegal settlements and move out of the territory which is considered illegal under international laws.

Man, that would be so amazing, an International zone like Antarctica. I would not have to hear anymore war stories, or news of killings. People getting along with each other.
To bad humanity is no where near advanced for this to happen:(
Who should own it? - I don't care - stop the killings and violence. Keep the USA out of it, please!

the jews have always owned since beginning of time, they were then expelled by the greeks and countless others, which then muslims took over the land and called it theres although they never asked, it is the land Israel, it should be only for christians and jews, for that is where all of the historic events happened, if muslims want in, they need to start treating us better.

Since I'm a Christian, I believe the Jews and Christians should own it. God promised it to Abraham's children through Issac. They are the Jews. We Christians have been grafted into the vine by Jesus Christ as adopted children, so we are part of the brood as well.
A Christian can be anybody who belives in Jesus Christ, no matter what country they come from.
