How to know if he likes me or not?

I got to know him from my girlfriend and we went (four or five ppl) together twice. It seems to me that he likes my girlfriend and vitising her often. I like him becos he's so mucically talented and he knows I play instrument too. He's very chatty on the Yahoo messenger, we share same interests, but he never sms nor call me and I don't think I should make a move first. But if I keep on waiting him to ask me out first, how do I know when it will happen? How do I know if he likes me or not? But if he likes my girlfriend then I have to step back. Do I need to ask her if she likes him too?

since you know that he is musically talented so works on this to your advantages, get him to assist you in repairing your instrument or the tuning of it [be it real or you just make it happen using your imagination], composes a song n get him to try /judge whether its OK or better still dedicated the song to him n get him to try it out n you sing while he play the instrument !
uses this opportunity to talk to him n know him better then you may wanted to try prepare something special or his favorite food n get him over to sample at your home !
Get him to practise musics then go chill-out with him right after the session n the list go on .
Don't asks your gf, just competes fairly with her to win him over ! Starts now don't wait any longer ! but do it slowly n never rush n scared him off !
