Aside from searching through old tax forms or through their personal things, you could ask them. If they don't want to tell you, then it is none of your business.

Skip TV and read a book, it will eventually help you do better on the verbal portion of the SAT's if you are looking to attend college in the future. Or be honest with your parents, and explain which channels you want to watch, for how long and why.

If neither of these options appeal to you, find out where they keep copies of their income tax returns. The social security # will be listed on the top right corner of the federal form 1040.

unplug the TV. That will reset all of the passwords. Then, you can go in and change them to what you want.

Don't tell them I told you.

You should never try to obtain or use anyone's social security number (even your parents). Because of identity theft issues/laws, it is illegal.
